Firstly, you need patience to get your child through this skin disorder because this problem will be resolved with time. All you need is to care the infant in a gentle way. Secondly, cleanse the affected area with a mild shampoo like a baby shampoo. It is soft on the skin of infants. Dry the affected area with cotton mop.
As soon as the surface and scales dry, remove them with proper brushing. Use a soft brush for this purpose. After it, apply mineral or vegetable oil and allow the affected area to soak. Maintain proper hygiene of your child for a fast recovery.

Though cradle cap is curable with light things like shampoo, oil or paste made of natural herbs, I have found it better to use the commercial ointments. The entire homely remedies work fine in treating the skin condition. But sometimes it becomes a bit risky and so far neonatal diseases are concerned, one should not take risk.
So to be in safer side, it is better to depend on the ointment made by some reputed company. You may get a little confused when you will visit a shop to buy a cream for treating cradle cap as there are a plethora of options available out there. So, it is better if you do some research on it and find out the brand that is most reliable before you finally lunge on buying one.
